Hi, my name is Ruben, and I’m going to tell you a little bit about my projects that I did during our course at ICBD (International Creative Business Developer).
Assignment
During the Spatial Design lessons (year two) at Cibap, we got the assignment to design a 3D Object that captures the essence of a brand in a new shape, material, composition and/or context. And approach this from different perspectives or techniques. The question we must ask ourself by making this object was ‘How is this object going to help the brand?’.
Well, you all know Crocs, right? Most people find it ugly, but not me, I love the brand and their identity. Crocs is now also a sustainable brand, they are 100% vegan, the material is made from biological ingredients.
Crocs vision
Is that everyone is comfortable in their own shoes. To accomplish this vision, they have made 3 missions. They made their products:
– Affordable
– Comfortable
– Accessible
A Crocs Case
Because most people drop their phones 4 times a week and if they’re unlucky it might get damaged. That is why I designed the new ”Crocs Case”. The Crocs Case features the organic shape of the Crocs with the iconic strap to carry it everywhere, it also features the iconic Crocs holes where you can customize your phone with the Crocs jibbitz. The Crocs Case is made from recycled Crocs, but it still gives that shock resisting but comfortable feel for your phone.

Ruben volgt de opleiding ICBD, deze opleiding focust zich niet alleen op vormgeving, maar ook op marketing, (digitale) techniek én onderzoek! Bij deze tweetalige opleiding houd jij je bezig met creatief ontwerpen en je onderzoekt kansen en mogelijkheden in de markt. Omdat werken in een internationale omgeving je aanspreekt zijn de voertalen bij icbd Nederlands en Engels.
Na de opleiding international creative business developer kun je aan de slag bij een marketing-, communicatie- of designafdeling van een organisatie, een vormgevings- of ontwerpstudio of bijvoorbeeld een bureau voor interieurdesign.]
